JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist / Drug & Alcohol Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks and assisting with drug & alcohol testing. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Contract part-time position for 1 year with potential to be renewed and conversion to permanent position for the right candidate. Position is Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 3:00pm. Probation period 6 months.
Office is in a great location conveniently located near train stations and Brentwood Mall.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role an asset.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Experience with office phone systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner.
  • Administer drug & alcohol tests to include collecting & preparing specimens
  • Answer phone calls promptly, utilizing excellent phone etiquette to assist callers effectively.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and mail.
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain updated records and files.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for both physical and electronic documents.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and other office software to support daily operations.
  • Assist with general clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times.
