Description

Receptionist/Telephone Operator

Do you want to make a difference for students in special education? Do you really want to make a difference for students who need just that little bit extra? Then this is your chance!

so De Rungraaf and vso De Korenaer are part of the Aloysius Foundation and provide special education for boys and girls aged 4 to 20. We think in terms of opportunities and help young people discover their talents and develop them further.

At our school, you work in an enthusiastic team in a beautiful school building: the Avenir. The Avenir offers a safe, well-organized, and challenging learning environment. Here, young people expand their knowledge, develop their employability skills, and cultivate the right learning and work attitude for a successful next step in secondary education, MBO (vocational education), or a (supported) job.

Job Description

To expand our support team, we are looking for an experienced receptionist (or telephone operator). Together with your co-worker, you ensure that daily operations at the reception run smoothly.

Your role

You are visibly present at the school and interact with a wide variety of people.

No two days are the same: one moment you are receiving a visitor or supplier, the next you are assisting a colleague or checking in a late student.

You answer the phone, provide information, and direct visitors and students to the appropriate person or department.

You maintain an overview of the reception area and identify any irregularities.

You provide assistance with (light) administrative tasks where necessary.

Alongside your co-worker, you work closely with colleagues from the administration department, caretakers, and teachers, and you are part of the support team.

What do you bring?

First and foremost, you are a person of integrity and an open mind. You have an MBO-level education and preferably experience in a similar position. You are collegial, have an affinity for special education, and know how to interact with students in a respectful and clear manner.

You are confident, can quickly find your way around, and are digitally and linguistically proficient. You have a practical mindset and can effortlessly switch between different tasks without losing track. Additionally, you are flexible; you have no problem working extra hours temporarily in the event of a colleague's illness or leave.
