Salary: up to £12.41 per hour
Hours: 20-25 hrs per week
Brainkind is a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK. Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people to regain the skills they have lost. Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE

To provide a welcoming, professional and efficient first point of contact to all visitors. To ensure that all calls received via Brainkind and/or Service switchboard/telephone system, are dealt within a professional, efficient and friendly manner.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To promptly, accurately, and professionally deal with all received telephone calls and inquiries from both external and internal sources.
  • To filter cold calls appropriately, and to ensure that messages are recorded and promptly relayed.
  • Meet and greet all visitors to Brainkind in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • To assist with all hospitality that is required for visitors/meetings.
  • To ensure that the reception area is clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.
  • To be responsible for dealing with all incoming and outgoing mail efficiently and effectively.
  • To provide a confidential and comprehensive administration service to the staff at CSS and any satellite locations, within operational and procedural guidelines
  • To manage communications received within CSS i.e. faxes, emails etc and take action as appropriate
  • Monitor, order and organise all stationery for all departments as required.
  • To ensure that weekly movement sheets, and all contact lists are kept regularly updated and distributed in a timely manner.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties falling within the administration role as identified by the service.
  • May be required to undertake additional administration duties as necessary to support smooth running of Brainkind service and/or deputise in the absence of business administrator.

About you

  • Good IT skills using Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Familiar with using office systems eg facsimile, telephone, photocopying, email, basic accounts.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
