Description

​Emin Read is currently seeking a professional, energetic and friendly person to join our Reception team in Eastbourne. Experience in a receptionist role or similar is essential.
The successful candidate will be competent at managing a high volume of client calls, emails, internal admin and able to prioritise accordingly whilst maintaining a positive and friendly disposition towards all clients and employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer, screen and forward high volumes of incoming phone calls quickly and efficiently
  • Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
  • Ensure reception area is clean, tidy and presentable at all times
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
  • Order office supplies, refreshments and keep kitchen equipment replenished
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs and manage petty cash
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying and faxing

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Positive and friednly customer focused attitude
  • Minimum GCSE grade C/4 in Maths and English
