Markandey Health Care Private Limited (MHCPL) is an upcoming multi-speciality hospital at Vengurla Road, Sulga, Belgaum – 591108, Karnataka. We are dedicated to delivering a warm, professional, and seamless healthcare experience to every patient and visitor who walks through our doors. The Receptionist / Front Desk Handler is the face of our hospital. This role is critical in creating the first and lasting impression of MHCPL. We are looking for presentable, well-spoken, empathetic, and organized individuals who can manage the front desk efficiently while ensuring every patient and visitor feels welcomed, guided, and cared for. We are hiring 3 candidates for this role (female candidates preferred for 2 positions). Key Responsibilities : Greet and welcome all patients, attendants, and visitors in a warm, professional, and courteous manner as they arrive at the hospital Handle patient registration — collect patient details, create new patient files, assign OPD/IPD numbers, and maintain the patient master data accurately. Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and manage appointments for OPD consultations, diagnostic procedures, and specialist visits. Manage incoming calls professionally — answer queries regarding hospital services, doctor availability, OPD timings, appointment scheduling, and general information. Direct patients and visitors to the appropriate departments, doctors, or waiting areas efficiently. Coordinate with nursing staff, doctors, and department heads to ensure smooth patient flow and minimal waiting time. Assist patients with basic billing queries, guide them through the payment process, and coordinate with the billing department for billing and receipt generation. Maintain the reception area in a neat, organized, and presentable condition at all times. Handle daily administrative tasks including maintaining visitor registers, call logs, appointment registers, and patient feedback forms. Manage outgoing and incoming correspondence, courier, and document dispatch as needed. Provide accurate and up-to-date information about hospital services, packages, facilities, and specialists to patients and their families. Handle patient grievances or complaints at the front desk with empathy and escalate to the appropriate authority when required. Assist with discharge formalities, follow-up appointment scheduling, and patient feedback collection. Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information and hospital data. Support hospital administrative activities and any other duties assigned by the Administrative Officer or management. Belgaum-Karnataka 591108 Google Map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/42r9emsH7Uazgmax6 Requirements Graduate in any stream — B.A, B.Com, BBA, or B.Sc (Hospital Administration or Healthcare Management preferred) 0–2 years of experience in front desk, reception, customer service, or hospital administration (freshers with good communication skills are welcome) Excellent communication skills in Kannada and Hindi; basic English communication is essential Proficiency in basic computer operations — MS Office (Word, Excel), email, and hospital management software (training will be provided) Pleasant, professional, and patient-friendly personality with a positive attitude Strong multitasking ability — capable of handling patient queries, phone calls, and administrative tasks simultaneously Ability to remain calm, composed, and empathetic even in a busy or stressful hospital environment Good organizational skills and attention to detail Willingness to work in shifts if required Female candidates preferred for 2 of the 3 positions Benefits Overtime Pay: Additional income for working beyond standard hours.
