The German Youth Hostel Association (DJH) is seeking a host for its youth hostel in the heart of the former European Capital of Culture 2025.

Receptionist, Front Office employee (m/f/d/x) at our Chemnitz youth hostel, starting as soon as possible, part-time (approx. 30-35 hours per week)

• You'll receive performance-based pay in accordance with a collective bargaining agreement, 30 days of vacation, and a time tracking system with regular working hours in a two-shift system. We promise you at least one weekend off per month!
• You receive six free overnight stays per year with your family in all Saxon youth hostels.

Your mission:

• You are the first to say "Welcome to Chemnitz!" and the last "Have a good trip!". You take care of check-in and check-out for our guests and are there to help and advise them.
• With your warmth, professionalism and humor, you advise our guests and those who want to become guests – from booking the room to recommending suitable program offers on site.
• You are a host with passion.
• Our reception is not just a place of comings and goings. You ensure that our guests not only have a roof over their heads, but a home away from home.
• With your organizational skills, you ensure optimal occupancy management.
• Your personality motivates our team, ensuring that your colleagues come to work with a smile every day.

Your profile:

• After completing your training in the tourism or catering sector, you have already gained relevant professional experience in the hotel and tourism industry.
• You possess both confident computer skills and basic communication skills.
• You are a team player and enjoy taking on challenges and responsibility.
• Of course, we expect you not only to work in a structured and independent manner, but also to make our guests happy and to love interacting with them.
• You are a true organizational talent and keep a cool head in hectic situations.
• You are open to new ideas and want to make the youth hostel a hotspot for young travelers.

The Chemnitz Youth Hostel has 131 beds in 30 rooms. We create opportunities for encounters and unforgettable experiences for school groups, families, and cultural tourists.
