QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary qualifications in a business or administrative field
  • Experience in a clerical capacity, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Demonstrated skills and ability to work in a fully computerized environment
  • Experience with Meditech applications, in particular the admissions & scheduling modules
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset
  • Accurate keyboarding skills are essential
  • Must be client-focused and possess the ability to interact with a wide variety of clients, visitors and clinicians on a daily basis
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work
