Description

Guelph Manufacturing Group Inc. is currently hiring a Receptionist for our Royal facility. The Receptionist is the first point of contact by greeting all Guests, Suppliers, and Employees of the Company. They will also provide administrative support across the Organization.

RELATED EXPERIENCE:

2 to 5 years’ experience working in an office environment.
Switchboard experience an asset.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with Guests, Suppliers and Employees of all levels.
  • Ability to keep organized and multitask in a high paced environment.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  1. Represents the Company, both in appearance and attitude in a professional business manner.
  2. Manage switchboard: answer, screen, and forward all incoming calls, while providing basic information when needed in a timely manner.
  3. Maintain Company security by following procedures and controlling access (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges, etc.).
  4. Sort all incoming interoffice mail, receive incoming courier packages, and prepare outgoing packages.

  5. Assist Accounts Payable:

  • Matching packing slips to invoices for processing.
  • Recording vendor account numbers and GST on invoices.
  1. Ensure Front Reception area is clean, organized, and presentable.
  2. Assist Controller with special projects as assigned.
  3. Will comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  4. All other duties as required.
