We are looking for a Receptionist for our client in Sackville, NB.

You will be in a key front-line role at their busy Information Centre. As the first point of contact for many travelers, this position requires a friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic individual who will ensure visitors receive a welcoming and informative experience. As the Receptionist you will provide in-person, email, and phone assistance to visitors, promotes local and provincial tourism offerings, and supports the general operations and cleanliness of the centre.Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors in-person, providing accurate and engaging information about attractions, accommodations, events, and services in the Municipality of Tantramar and throughout the Province.
  • Respond to tourism-related inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of local and provincial tourism products, services, and points of interest.
  • Prepare and distribute visitor information kits and promotional materials.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and presentation of the Visitor Information Centre, including displays, literature racks, and public areas.
  • Restock brochures and promotional materials as needed.
  • Support retail operations within the Centre, if applicable.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and support coworkers as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager or designate.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong knowledge of New Brunswick’s attractions, history, geography, and culture, with the ability to quickly learn about the Municipality of Tantramar specifically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality setting.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in a retail setting is an asset.
  • Proficiency in English is required; bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset.
  • Previous tourism-related experience is an asset.
  • First Aid/CPR training is an asset.
