Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.   How you’ll contribute A receptionist who excels in this role: * Provides administrative support and performs receptionist, clerical, and customer service functions, along with other non-technical duties within practices or departments. * Prepares statistical reports and performs clerical tasks such as preparing and sending outgoing mail, distributing incoming mail, maintaining filing systems, entering data and maintaining databases, typing documents and correspondence, and completing photocopying, scanning, and faxing. * Greets visitors and communicates with patients, providers, and other offices, departments, or facilities. * Places, answers, and directs phone calls and distributes messages. * Organizes, coordinates, and schedules meetings and appointments. * Maintains a neat and orderly office area and monitors and orders office supplies. * Handles information requests by reviewing files and records, answering inquiries, and responding to incoming work requests. * Coordinates workflow and compiles records of office activities. * Performs basic accounting functions such as checking invoices, making deposits, and managing petty cash in offices or departments where payments are made or collected. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-services, projects, and committees as assigned. * Adheres to and supports the policies and procedures of STRHS. * Works scheduled shifts, including overtime when necessary. * Accepts call schedules as directed. * Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance with the established dress code.   What we’re looking for Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital prefers applicants who have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent.  Additional requirements include: * Associates Degree is preferred * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  * Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Responsibilities
The receptionist provides administrative and clerical support, including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office databases. They also handle customer service duties, such as greeting visitors and directing phone calls, while performing basic accounting tasks.
