Description

Company Description
Here at Lumino, we are made up of a talented team of professionals providing exceptional patient experience and dental care. With over 120 practices nationwide, we are the heart of every New Zealand community and want to ensure we are providing the highest standard of care to our patients & ongoing support to our team.
Job Description
We are seeking a kind, compassionate, and proactive receptionist to join our welcoming team. If you thrive in a supportive, patient-focused environment and enjoy working collaboratively within a larger team, we’d love to hear from you!
About the Role:
As the first point of contact for our patients, your role is vital in creating a warm and positive experience from the moment they enter the practice until they leave. We’re looking for someone who is confident, personable, and genuinely enjoys engaging with people.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Full-time employment (40 hours) - Monday to Friday (Closed weekends)
  • A strong team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Comfortable working closely with clinicians and fellow reception staff to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
  • Kind and genuine attitude.
  • A high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Additional Training and Clinical Responsibilities :
As part of your role, you will also be cross-trained in dental assisting, which is a valuable skill in a clinical environment. This includes chair-side assistance during various treatments and supporting the clinical team as needed. Please note: this role involves direct patient care and exposure to clinical procedures, so it is not suited for those who may be uncomfortable in a hands-on healthcare setting.
At the heart of our practice is the patient experience, and we’re looking for someone who shares our values of warmth, empathy, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a professional environment (dental-related preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in learning new systems and procedures quickly
  • Team player with a friendly, composed demeanor
