OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a highly organised and friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact for all incoming calls and enquiries at Materials Market. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth communication across the business, supporting the wider team by efficiently handling calls, assigning support tickets, and helping customers with quick requests like ETAs.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with excellent phone manners, a calm and professional demeanour, and strong attention to detail.

  • A customer is insulating a wall where the dimensions are 3.9m x 10.6m. How many rolls of insulation do they need if the dimensions of the roll are 6,000mm x 1,140mm?
  • If a length of timber is 3600mm long, how long is it in metres?

Responsibilities
  • Answer all incoming calls and divert them to the appropriate team or individual
  • Handle simple requests from customers directly, such as ETA enquiries
  • Assign unallocated tickets in HubSpot to the correct team member or department
  • Clear out low-priority or spam tickets from the unallocated queue
  • Maintain a clear log of calls or queries where necessary
  • Ensure all internal communication is smooth and timely
  • Support the customer service and operations teams with basic admin tasks when needed
