Description
Description Advocare Heritage Family Medicine | Small Private Office | Full-Time Our small, close-knit family practice is looking for a versatile Receptionist / Medical Assistant to join our team. You would primarily be at the front desk either checking-in or out patients, but would flex as a medical assistant when needed. Because we are a small office, this "hybrid" role is the heartbeat of our clinic—you’ll be the first face patients see and the helping hand they rely on in the exam room. We pride ourselves on providing personalized and personable care. If you enjoy building relationships with patients, we’d love to meet you. Key Responsibilities Administrative (Receptionist): First Impressions: Greet patients warmly, manage the check-in/check-out process, and verify insurance coverage. Scheduling: Coordinate appointments using eClinicalWorks and manage the daily flow of the office. Communication: Handle multi-line phones and communicate effectively with both staff and patients. Clinical Admin: Communicate test results and provider responses to patients. Clinical (Medical Assistant): Patient Intake: Escort patients to rooms, record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), and update medical histories. Procedure Support: Assist the physician during minor office procedures and exams. Lab Work: Perform basic point-of-care testing (e.g., nasal swabs, urine tests) and prepare specimens for lab pickup. Clinical Upkeep: Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and confirm they are stocked and sanitized between visits. Benefits & Schedule Competitive Pay: Based on experience. Work-Life Balance: No nights, weekends, or major holidays. Small Office Atmosphere: Warm and friendly environment. Benefits: Health insurance, dental, vision, PTO. Requirements What We’re Looking For Certification: CMA or RMA (Preferred) or equivalent clinical experience. Tech Savvy: Proficiency with eClinicalWorks and the basic Microsoft Office suite. Compassion: Exceptional bedside manner and a genuine desire to help patients navigate their health journeys. Reliability: Since our team is small, showing up on time and being dependable is vital for our patients’ care.
