POSITION OVERVIEW

As the first point of contact for our members, the Receptionist / Member Service Representative plays a key role in delivering a welcoming and professional experience—both in person and over the phone. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in the financial services industry, and a passion for helping people.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a receptionist or member service role, ideally within the financial industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working with cash and completing balancing procedures.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with a genuine desire to help others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet members and visitors warmly, creating a positive and professional first impression.
• Answer and direct incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette.
• Provide accurate information on credit union products and services.
• Assist members with a wide range of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers.
• Perform daily cash balancing and ensure accurate handling of funds.
• Support the member service team with administrative duties and daily operations.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold all credit union policies and regulatory guidelines.
