POSITION DESCRIPTION/SUMMARY:
The Receptionist is responsible for providing support to all clients, partners, vendors, contractors, guests, and agency staff by providing administrative office support, maintaining specialized and complex records, answering and routing phone calls, emails, faxes, etc., answering general Rental Services program questions, checking in guests/clients, and providing backup support to department staff as needed.
The Receptionist should be customer service oriented with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of agency staff, customers, clients, members of the board, vendors, outside community service agencies, the general public, and other stakeholders while maintaining tact and a friendly demeanor. The person in this role should be skilled at handling complaints and navigating elevated/difficult conversations with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times. The Receptionist should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, preferably in English and in Spanish, have exceptional time-management skills, be capable of managing multiple, concurrent tasks, with frequent interruptions and changes, while meeting deadlines under pressure, and be detail oriented.
