Description New York Bus Sales, the largest authorized Blue Bird School Bus dealership in New York State currently has an immediate opening for a Receptionist in our current Chittenango, NY location. This location will be moving to our new, expanded location in Syracuse, NY by mid-Spring. New York Bus Sales is a full-service dealership offering sales, service, parts, and graphics. We provide safe, dependable buses for our customers and professional services to meet their needs. JOB SUMMARY The primary function of the Receptionist is to answer and direct calls, greet visitors and handle inquiries from the public. Between calls, the Receptionist is also responsible for other clerical duties including but not limited to the preparation of DMV paperwork, mail sorting, etc. SUPERVISION Supervision- The Receptionist performs a variety of tasks to ensure smooth office operations and positive visitor experiences. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Welcome guests, direct them to the appropriate person or department. · Address client questions or complaints, ensuring a positive first impression and professional interaction. · Monitor visitor access, manage access control to building, and report unusual activities when required. · Roll over support to auto-attendant, take messages, and respond to inquiries. · Handle mail, schedule meeting rooms, and manage used bus paperwork, including DMV. · Keep the reception area tidy, manage building supplies, and coordinate with vendors. · Interact with other departments in a professional manner. · Follow all prescribed Safety methods and perform work safely. OTHER DUTIES Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements EDUCATION / REQUIRED EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a receptionist preferred. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES Communicate with customers and employees in a professional and concise manner. Successfully use relevant computer applications such as Microsoft office and excel. Exhibit good organizational skills and detailed record keeping. Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Demonstrate the ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions. Write and type sufficiently to prepare reports, complete required paperwork and correspond via email communications. Maintain a professional appearance that exhibits the image of the company. Maintain client confidentiality in conformance with company policy. Be safety conscious and demonstrate the ability to follow prescribed safety practices as to prevent injuries to self and others. Full-time, Monday thru Friday, Day shift.
