Oatlands Park Hotel are currently on a drive to set the standards of excellence in the luxury sector of the hotel industry. Located in a stunning setting in Weybridge the hotel employs some of the most skilled, professional and dedicated people that the industry has to offer. We understand that every Guest is unique and our team strives to create individual moments of service excellence for our business and leisure guests.
We are currently looking for a Front Desk Receptionist to support the Front House function and to report to the Reception Manager. This role involves working 40 hours per week on a rota basis. The rota will include evenings and early mornings any day between Monday and Sunday.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • A friendly, welcoming and customer focused approach
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure
  • The ability to work unsupervised
  • Good administrative skills
  • Working knowledge of PMS Opera would be an advantage
  • Hospitality qualification or working towards one
  • At least one year’s experience in a customer facing role
  • Will work on a rota where evenings and weekend shifts will be included
  • It is essential that if you do not live within walking distance of the hotel that you are a driver and do not live further than a thirty mile radius from the hotel
  • It is an 8 hour standing job so a good level of fitness is required
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all guests in line with the hotel vision and values
  • Responsible for checking in/out of guests
  • To undertake front of house duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to guest’s needs
  • To build a good rapport with guests and resolve any complaints or issues in line with company standards
  • To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes
  • To administer all routes of reservation to ensure room bookings are made
  • To undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails and switchboard
  • To efficiently process all reservations and cancellations
  • To log any maintenance issues onto the PMS
  • To room guests and assist with luggage as required
  • To show guests to their rooms and assist with their luggage as required
  • Ensure the reception area is always clean and tidy
