Description **Full Time Position Monday - Friday at our Plains Rural Health Clinic Job Title: Receptionist/Patient Financial Services (Full Time) Department: Business Office Reports To: Business Office Manager Position Summary: Responsible for scheduling patients, answering phones, sending faxes, etc. Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent 1-2 years clinic experience preferred, but will train the right applicant Good verbal and written communications skills Good organization/time management skills Good customer service skills Mathematical ability at a level necessary to accomplish job Ability to quickly analyze billing problems and make appropriate corrections Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications such as Word, Excel and 10 key Responsibilities: Meet attendance and punctuality guidelines Adhere to dress code; no t-shirts, tank tops, cut offs, flip flops or jeans (with the exception of Friday) are allowed. Attend required meetings and in-service programs Treat customers and co-workers with respect and courtesy Complete mandatory education (i.e. HealthStream courses) Adhere to policies and procedures Maintain patient and system confidentiality Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies Responsible for scheduling patients, greeting patients when they arrive and checking them in. record all patient charts and payments verify proof of eligibility for insurance payments have patient complete appropriate forms when they arrive. answer phones, relay messages and return calls as necessary.
