As a front desk Receptionist, you will have the opportunity to provide a high level of excellent service to the public. The ideal DCAD Receptionist has excellent public relations skills, is adaptable, and has a positive attitude. The front desk is the first point of public contact allowing you to have a direct impact on the community! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Answers and properly routes incoming calls to the appropriate division. Greets and properly routes visitors. Monitors logs and sign-in sheets as needed. Monitors visitor activity in the lobby and coordinates with security and the Building Engineers. Provides general clerical support. Proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Software. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time with ability to reach, bend and move up/down. The ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds of files or equipment. The ability to ask questions that will bring forth the information needed to assist the customer efficiently. The ability to concentrate on assigned tasks and to manage time effectively. The ability to communicate clearly on the telephone and face to face. Applicant must be able to pass a standardized skill test administered by the District. PREFERRED: Bilingual in Spanish. Previous appraisal office, or other office experience
Responsibilities
