RECEPTIONIST (PER DIEM)

Receptionist (Per Diem) Position Summary:
The primary purpose of your job position is to preform clerical duties, answer inquiries and/or provide general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties information regarding Cortlandt Healthcare.

Receptionist (Per Diem) Essential Functions:

  • Greet persons entering establishment, determined nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
  • Telephone conversations, email, writing letters and memos, and face to face discussions with individuals and/or team.
  • Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
  • Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.
  • Maintain a functioning filing system for records within your job duties.
  • Schedule appointments and/or provide tours.
  • Perform various clerical duties as directed.
  • Release information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the entrance of residents going in and out the front door.
  • Ensure administrative functions are carried out promptly for an efficient operation within your job responsibilities.
  • Assure that your office space is maintained in a clean and safe manner and that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to perform required duties.
  • Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished as new duties are assigned or current duties are changed.
  • Perform Administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc.; as directed by the Admissions Coordinator.
  • Provide information to resident/families as necessary, or refer to appropriate department or agency.
  • Type and prepare confidential reports/spreadsheets.
  • Assist in solving operational problems that may arise within your job responsibilities as directed.

Receptionist (Per Diem) Qualifications:

  • Education: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience:Computer experience required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Familiarity with phone consoles preferred.

Receptionist (Per Diem) Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to life, push, pull and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents, if necessary.

Receptionist (Per Diem) Shift:
Per Diem, Monday -Friday (evenings) and weekends 8am-2pm and 2pm-8am
Rate: Up to $18 an hour
Varying shifts, evenings, weekends and holiday rotation a must
