We are seeking a friendly and experienced receptionist to join our team at our stunning riverfront hotel in Kangaroo Point. As a receptionist, you will be the face of our hotel, welcoming guests and ensuring they have an enjoyable stay.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as a receptionist in a 4-5 star hotel environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to think quickly and solve problems promptly
  • Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic handyman skills to assist with routine repair and maintenance tasks
  • Commitment to a minimum 12-month tenure
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a full-time position (9 days per fortnight), including one day each weekend. We are seeking someone who can commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a receptionist in a 4–5 star hotel environment and a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Basic skills in repairs and general maintenance are also required.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive
  • Check guests in and out of the hotel
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails professionally
  • Assist guests with inquiries and provide information about hotel services and amenities
  • Make reservations and handle cancellations
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare cleaners’ roster and linen orders
  • Perform basic repair and maintenance work as needed
  • Carry out cleaning work as needed
