SmartHostels is looking for a friendly and reliable Receptionist to join our team at Smart Hyde Park View, one of our vibrant hostels in the heart of London.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Day/ Evening Shift Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling front desk operations, assisting guests with their needs, and ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the hostel.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role (hospitality industry preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to handle stressful situations
  • Proficiency in using booking systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Friendly, professional, and approachable personality
Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Handle bookings, inquiries, and customer requests in person, via email, and over the phone
  • Provide information about hostel services, local attractions, and transport options
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions
  • Address and resolve guest complaints professionally
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
