The Office Receptionist performs a range of clerical, administrative and office support tasks for the agency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent Microsoft Office including word processing, Google, PPT, and Excel
  • Independent worker with ability to anticipate and engage in next steps for projects and daily work

  • All South Shore Stars employees should be able to lift at least 40 lbs and work in a non-sedentary environment.
Responsibilities
  • Reports to the Office Manager.
  • Answer phones, screen and route calls and greet visitors.
  • Interacts and oversees front desk security and protocols
  • Support with drop off and pick up of students attending programs on site
  • Assists in emergency evacuation protocols with students and children on site
  • May provide support with coordination of all Leadership Team calendars to facilitate meeting schedules and appointment scheduling.
  • Organize, coordinate, implement a variety of projects including but not limited to mailings, purchasing of agency wide items, informational packets, and all other duties as assigned by Office Manager.
  • Maintain orderly and stocked office environment including conference rooms, kitchen spaces, and associated technology
  • Ensure daily deliveries are received in a timely manner by staff noted on package labels
  • Inventory and order office supplies
  • Sort mail, purchase postage and handle outgoing mail
  • Log and immediately deliver to the finance department tuition payments, cash donations and/or non-monetary donations received at reception desk
  • Maintain a variety of technology sites/applications or other tech. platforms with shared document capacities
  • Assist as backup clerical support with all programs
  • Flexibility in covering additional hours if necessary
  • All other assigned duties
