1. JOB DESCRIPTION

1.1 JOB TITLE: Activity Centre Receptionist
1.2 SALARY: Competitive
1.3 LOCATION: Wimbleball Lake
1.4 HOURS: 0-40 hrs a week
1.5 DATES: March – October 2025
1.6 RESPONSIBLE TO: Activity Centre Manager

4. EXPERIENCE

4.1 Experience working within a customer services / sales / event management environment.
4.2 Dealing with the general public.
4.3 Administrative experience.
4.4 Experience in a busy office or visitor centre role.

CAPABILITIES

4.5 Enthusiasm and confidence assisting the general public. Excellent customer service skills
4.6 Good IT skills and programmes, including Word, Excel and Outlook
4.7 Good communication skills and telephone manner.
4.8 Good team worker, able to communicate well with colleagues and follow instructions.
4.9 Ability to quickly learn in house systems.
4.10 A willingness to learn new skills and to undertake training.
4.11 Interest in water and land based recreational activities.
4.12 Good level of physical fitness.

Responsibilities:

2. OVERALL PURPOSE

2.1 Ensure high quality and efficient customer service acting as the key point of contact for enquiries and visitors, making sales, administering bookings and knowledgeable cross-promotion of activities, camping and products. This is a key role liaising with all teams and visitors on a busy site.

3. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1.1 Deliver excellent customer service, manage bookings and check-ins, and respond to guest queries promptly and professionally. Welcome visitors and general public to site, acting as a point of contact and provide them with information and cross promotion of activities, camping and products.
3.2 Administer booking forms, deposits, payments and customer feedback.
3.3 Provide administrative support for the site staff and produce the necessary paperwork as instructed in an organised and timely fashion. Liaise with instructors to ensure smooth and punctual running of sessions. Liaise with Campsite Warden to ensure efficient bookings.
3.4 Operate a till and cash up on a daily basis, ensure accurate invoicing along with day to day financial procedures.
3.5 Assist in updating social media sites and responding to posts liaising with the marketing team wherever necessary.
3.6 Assist with the management of online booking system.
3.7 Together with the team, be jointly responsible for keeping all areas of the site clean and tidy to present a professional image.
3.8 Issue buoyancy aids, wetsuits and other watersports equipment.
3.9 Take responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues, customers, and contractors.
3.10 Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Trust.
