  • Proficient use of the following programs strongly preferred: MS Office and Power School

Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The school Receptionist will perform a variety of administrative work unique to the daily operations of the school. This includes but is not limited to maintaining official records, implementing administrative policies, and acting as a first point of contact for visitors, parents and students. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, students and families through professional interaction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with coworkers, parents and the public.
  • Provide office operations support such as receiving/screening telephone calls and visitors.
  • Welcomes incoming visitors at the front desk (including parents, students, prospective families, leadership) by monitoring their security sign-in and sign-out times.
  • Makes available Student and Employee handbooks for reference purposes or any other AZ state requirements
  • Monitors attendance phone calls, tracking student tardies and/or early dismissals using Log sheets daily and contacts appropriate staff for follow-up.
  • Assists in preparing and distributing school family and faculty correspondence including interoffice mail.
  • Monitors students working in the front office area.
