Special Electronics & Designs Inc. (SED Inc.) has been in the business of developing and supplying Communication System Solutions and Air Supply Products since 1971.
SED Inc. offers experience and expertise in the design and manufacturing of digital and analog communications equipment for all types of installations and applications. We provide electronic/electrical design, development, testing, molding and assembly services, systems integration and commissioning from large scale integrated to small standalone systems, Intrinsically Safe, and customized solutions that meet the needs of our customers in Hazardous and Industrial Environments.
Special Electronics & Designs Inc. requires an experienced part time Receptionist with responsibilities covering a wide variety of clerical office duties in support of company administration. Other responsibilities will include coordinating and communicating office activities, greeting and screening visitors, answering and referring inbound telephone calls, and scheduling appointments. The Receptionist will also be responsible for administrating company correspondence.
The successful candidate has a proven record of attention to detail, accuracy and organization. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, team-oriented and has a positive attitude. This position requires the ability to multitask and have a great command of spoken and written English. Integrity, vision, professionalism, and passion are key components of this position. The candidate MUST be skilled and proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite. Mentoring, Coaching, and Training is provided for all aspects of this position.

Qualifications:

  • College Degree in Office Administration, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of direct work experience in a receptionist capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Superior typing and transcription skills at 50 words per minute.
  • Able to write simple correspondence, including memos, letters, etc.
  • General mathematical skills.
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills.
  • Adjusts and is flexible to meet changing work needs and demands.
  • Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
