Duties include welcoming guests and greeting people who visit our organization. The Receptionist will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. Requirements Essential Duties And Responsibilities Greets all guests to the agency with a friendly demeanor, and alerts appropriate staff to their arrival. Answers switchboard for all incoming calls in a professional manner, and directs calls as appropriate or provides general information to callers about STRIVE. Provides interested individuals with STRIVE application and instructs them on how to complete forms. Ensures that applicant has completed the Applicant Sign-In Sheet, and obtains and makes copies of applicant’s identification. Opens, dates, and sorts all incoming mail, logging donation checks in the logbook (does this stay with Erika or the Receptionist). Receives and delivers incoming fax correspondence, sends outgoing faxes as requested. Posts and mails all outgoing correspondence at the end of the day. Request participants to sign into the kiosk. Conduct information sessions as needed. Maintains organizational literature in the reception area and keeps it clean and free from clutter. Completes other tasks as assigned or needed. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED · Must have high school diploma or GED. Experience with switchboards preferred. · Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office software. · Must have good interpersonal skills as well as professional verbal and written communication skills. · Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy multi-tasking.
