JOB DESCRIPTION:

You must be IT literate, display excellent communication skills and a caring professional approach. Adherence to practice protocols and Health and Safety is a necessity. Please note that owing to the nature of the position, the post holder is required to be female in order to carry out the occupational requirements of the role. The contracted hours would be over a 5-day period, including Saturdays . The shifts will be set shifts to suit the clinic opening hours between 8am and 8 pm.

Responsibilities

You will provide the highest standards to people accessing our services. It is important that you possess a high level of attention to detail coupled with the ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure. IT skills are essential including Word, Excel, etc. as well as in-house computer systems. You will be friendly, compassionate, person centered and always mindful of others. You will be positive and articulate and be able to explain sometimes difficult situations to patients with clarity.
You will check in patients with a warm professionalism, liaise with colleagues and consultants, arrange appointments, and maintain patient records. You will maintain the reception area and waiting room, be responsible for daily checks in clinic to guarantee the smooth running of the consultations. You will manage the reception phone and email enquiries and manage the safe and accurate hand over of tasks to colleagues at the end of your shift. You will be responsible for the accurate recording of payments in clinic. Basic chaperoning may be required on occasions. Membership to the PVG scheme is mandatory for this post.
