Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: St. Robert1 - St. Robert, MO Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: Undisclosed Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Finance Description Working hours will be between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday and every sixth Saturday from 7:30am-11:00am. General Statement of Duties: This position provides exceptional customer service to incoming callers. Position responsibilities include opening and actively managing the switchboard. This position also provides clerical support to other areas of the bank on an as needed basis. Essential Job Functions: Greets callers and customers of the bank in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner. Professionally administers all incoming calls. Provides callers with general bank information such as the bank address, directions to bank branches, fax numbers, the website address and other related information. Transfers callers to voicemail or takes messages as needed when co-workers are unavailable. Ensures phone calls are directed according to customer need. Answers customer inquiries about the status of various accounts over the phone. Assists customers with completing the necessary forms to claim debit card fraud. Transfers funds from account to account as directed by the customer. Assists customers with online banking password resets. Processes Instant Issue Debit Card requests, prints cards, and balances the account as needed. Contacts customers with suspicious account activity to see if charges are valid and forwards fraudulent transactions to the bookkeeping department. Prepares the main lobby according to opening and closing procedures as needed. Assists in the collection and processing of mail as needed. Accurately handles all transactions assigned to the teller window on an as needed basis. Orders business and personal checks and deposit slips. Assists customers with entry into safe deposit boxes. Balances branch employee jean fund and soda accounts. Performs a variety of clerical duties including photocopying, faxing and filing. Follows bank policies and procedures, including state and federal regulations at all times. Maintains departmental appearance, both personal and general. Assists customers with problem resolution and upholds customer service guidelines. Serves customers in a cordial and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction with service provided by the bank and upholds customer service guidelines. Actively cross-sells bank services to customers. Upholds customer confidentiality at all times. Takes advantage of opportunities to promote the Bank when involved in voluntary community activities and civic organizations to cross sell the Bank’s products and services. Completes other duties and assists in other departments as assigned. Qualifications Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. One year prior secretarial/switchboard experience preferred. Excellent command of the English language and grammar. Prior experience in a customer service environment preferred. Excellent phone etiquette. Experience with PCs, copy machines, mail sorters, typewriters, calculators and other general office equipment preferred. Prior experience working within a team environment preferred. Demonstrates aptitude for accuracy with numbers. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on assigned tasks and to accept direction on given assignments. Ability to plan, prioritize, meet deadlines and multi-task. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent human relations/customer service skills to effectively interact with customers and co-workers. Strong organizational and time management skills. Self-motivated and results oriented.
