RECEPTIONIST- THE HOUSE HOTEL
The House Hotel offers Style, Luxury & Comfortable accommodation in Galway. With our exciting new vacancy consider becoming a part of our diverse and experienced team, who take pride in creating the ultimate guest experience.
The House Hotel is one of the best located hotels in Galway, also located only 5 minutes from Eyre Square and nestled in the Latin Quarter area of the city.
We’re now seeking to hire a Receptionist for our front of house team on a part-time contract.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of one years’ hospitality experience
- Excellent interpersonal skill
- Be fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Working knowledge of Opera PMS system (preferred)
- Working knowledge of the Internet, Excel and Word.
Responsibilities:
- To greet guests on arrival with a warm, welcoming smile & in a professional and friendly manner.
- To check in and out guests efficiently using the Opera Reservation System whilst adhering to our SOPs.
- To communicate our services and facilities to guests as required.
- To deal with any customer complaints in a professional manner and to notify management of these.
- To deal with requests, queries and suggestions quickly and efficiently.
- To ensure that the guests needs and requirements are met.
- To take all reservations and ensure that all changes are updated in the hotel system accordingly.
- To promote and up-sell the hotels facilities at all times.
- To answer the switchboard and telephone in a warm and friendly manner and to divert calls to the relevant and correct extension and to take detailed messages as required.
- To ensure that billing is correct and carried out in accordance with our SOPs.
- To become familiar with all other procedures for reception.
- To adhere to all the hotel polices including Customer Care, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Security.
- To provide support where necessary in other areas of the hotel.
- To be patient and organised and be able to deal with a multitude of tasks and have the ability to prioritise these tasks.
- To be willing and interested to learn about the surrounding areas so as to be able to advise guests.
