Description Summary Objective: The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization. Essential Functions: Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location. Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments. Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items. Performs administrative and clerical support tasks. Performs basic filing and recordkeeping. Performs other duties. Competencies: Communication Proficiency Customer Focus Ethical Conduct Stress Management/Composure Teamwork Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment: This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hours of Operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Travel: This position may require some local travel during the business day, but no overnight travel. Requirements Required Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED, or equivalent Preferred Education and Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google docs with 1-2 years of experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Satisfactory results from a Background and Motor Vehicle Record checks, and drug screen Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role, however some filing is required. This would require the ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
