Description

We are seeking a full-time receptionist who is well-presented, organised, and friendly. We are a family-run, mixed dental surgery with five chairs, and we are looking for someone whose skillset will enhance our patients’ experience.
Full training will be provided, so previous dental experience is not essential – but the right attitude is absolutely vital.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Previous administration or reception experience preferable
  • Personable, positive, and enthusiastic, with a strong customer focus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with the SOE/Exact computer system is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
    To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have front desk reception experience or prior experience working in a dental practice. A DBS check and references will be required upon the commencement of employment.
    Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 5:30pm
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities

RECEPTION DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Welcoming patients both in person and over the phone
  • Managing appointments
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meeting and greeting patients, providing an excellent first impression
  • Booking and amending appointments, answering calls, and updating patient records
  • Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team
  • Informing patients about dental services and current offers
  • Processing payments
  • Liaising with other dental professionals, referral practices, and laboratories
  • Handling sensitive information while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as required
