POSITION SUMMARY

The Receptionist plays a vital role as the first point of contact for visitors and staff, while supporting administrative tasks across the agency. This role contributes to the overall efficiency and respectful environment of the workplace, aligned with Wolastoqey values and community care.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in reception or administrative support, preferably in a child welfare or community-based setting.
  • Knowledge of Wolastoqey/Maliseet culture, traditions, and values, with demonstrated experience working with First Nations communities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proficient in the use of office technology and software.
  • Valid New Brunswick Driver’s License.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage the agency’s secured entrance, greet all visitors in person or by phone, and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Maintain the reception area to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
  • Coordinate the use of meeting spaces and assist with visitor logistics.
  • Support administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.
  • Organize and replenish internal agency forms and stock office supplies.
  • Create ID badges for new staff or staff with updated job titles.
  • Support additional administrative functions as required.
