A Temporary Receptionist is required within a City Centre based department. This assignment will commence asap for an expected duration of 4 weeks, on a full time basis. paying £14.51 per hour plus holiday pay.

Duties Include:

  • Welcome visitors to the department and provide assistance as necessary, including directing them to the appropriate area, issuing visitor passes and dealing with queries and making travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Maintain the tidiness and organisation of the reception area ensuring a smart professional image at the first point of contact. Ensure that Noticeboards and leaflet racks are kept up to date
  • Take incoming phone calls, answer queries and redirect them appropriately to departmental extensions.
  • Receive and log deliveries and courier mail, sort outgoing mail for the University messenger and assisting staff in organising couriers as requested.
  • Support arrangements for conferences, seminars and meetings, including booking equipment, parking, meeting rooms and catering.
  • Issue room keys and book and issue equipment if necessary.

THE TEMPORARY STAFFING SERVICE IS A CENTRAL RESOURCE SUPPORTING UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENTS IN THE RECRUITMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF TEMPORARY ADMIN AND CLERICAL STAFF. THE SERVICE RECRUITS AND MAINTAINS A POOL OF SKILLED TEMPORARY WORKERS.
