Receptionist Location: Fayetteville, AR, 72703 JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a professional and personable Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our organization. This is a part-time role working Saturday and Sunday.  The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be proficient in basic office software, and demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and composure in all situations. This role requires a genuine interest in serving and working with older adults, consistent with BTV's mission.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Professionally interact with residents, guests, and visitors while maintaining appropriate boundaries and keeping personal matters private. * Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the role.  * Identify and intercept unusual events to assist in monitoring security and safety within the facility. * Remain at the Reception Desk during emergencies and follow defined policies and procedures calmly and professionally. * Record multiple messages and task assignments accurately for self and others. * Effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations involving customers, clients, the general public, and other employees. * Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the employee handbook. * Adapt to change and perform job tasks efficiently even in stressful situations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Email * Ability to write and speak clear sentences for basic communication. * Ability to read, write and understand instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters, and documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Effectively communicate and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group settings. * Ability to professionally interact with residents and guests, keeping personal life/problems to yourself. * Must be able to identify and intercept unusual events to assist in monitoring security and safety. * During emergencies, must remain at Reception Desk and follow defined policies and procedures in a calm, professional manner. * Must be flexible, receptive, and adaptive to change; able to perform job tasks even in stressful situations. * Must record multiple messages and task assignments given to self and others. * Must enjoy serving and working with older adults, consistent with BTV's mission. QUALIFICATIONS * Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role preferred. * High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications are a plus. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
