Description We are seeking a Medical Office Receptionist to become a part of our team! Answer very busy multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs yourself. Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data. Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents. Process payments from patients for co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and uninsured visits. Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and technician availability. Maintain patient records confidentially. Schedule patients according to scheduling protocol and only veer from protocol with permission from the Provider or Practice Administrator. Ensure all referrals are obtained prior to appointment time. Appointment reminder calls Collect past due balances Travel to other clinic sites as needed (Rarely). Report problems, concerns or related issues to the Clinical Manager or Practice Administrator Works with the Optician to dispense eyeglasses, contact lens orders, vitamins or eye drops. Make appointment reminder calls for all three locations Polish or Spanish speaking is preferred. Must have a flexible work schedule. This job does require travel to another office location about 20min away for 2 days a month. Applicant must have reliable transportation. Familiarity with medical billing procedures Strong organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Experience with electronic medical records Familiarity with the referral process for HMOs Insurance knowledge - Deductibles, Co-pays and Co-insurance is a must Job Type: Part-Time Salary: $17-19/hr
