Description Job Type Part-time Portland, OR • Clubhouse Description Portland’s only riverfront country club with an unrivaled culture of year-round golf and spirited experiences that bring active families and friends closer together. Waverley Country Club is currently seeking a Receptionist who will be responsible for being the first point of contact for members, guests and vendors as they walk into the club. They will encounter many unique situations that will require professionalism and knowledge of the club and its staff. Additionally, the Receptionist will need to be efficient with the various digital programs that the Club uses. The ideal Receptionist will be professional, self-motivated and have strong communication skills. This is a Part-Time position working 15 - 20 hours per week. Work Performed Operates telephone switchboard; answers the telephone; transfers calls to proper extensions; takes messages for members and staff. Greets members and guests. Provides schedule and other club information to members and guests. Collects and posts outgoing mail, including overnight mail services. Fulfills members’ requests (for example; places phone calls and holds letters or packages). Performs general office work such as word processing, filing & operating copy and fax machines. Works on special projects as assigned (for example; inventory, menus etc.). Maintains supply inventories for reception area. Reports presence of unauthorized visitors in or around club facility. Performs other duties required by the manager on duty. Communicates verbally and in writing with English as a primary language. Commitment to recognize and acknowledge members by name. Maintains appearance of reception area. Creates and alters dining and event reservations through MembersFirst. Assembles new member and catering packets. Requirements Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be friendly, willing to work in a team environment. Must possess excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to produce work free of errors. Strong organization skills. Self-starter that works well in a team environment. Proficient in computer programs including Microsoft applications.
