MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • Required: Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education;
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Specify Degree(s): Communication, Psychology, Hospitality

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of previous job-related experience required; 3-5 years preferred
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Receptionist/Concierge serves as the first point of contact at the hospital’s Main Entrance and Surgical Waiting Room. This individual plays a vital role in facilitating smooth operations by delivering exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience throughout their visit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role involves answering inquiries, directing or escorting individuals throughout the hospital, and assisting with physical needs such as wheelchair support and transportation access. You’ll screen visitors, provide updates in line with privacy policies, and help resolve concerns with empathy and sound judgment. Participation in training and department meetings is expected.

  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and families with compassion and professionalism
  • Provide accurate directions and information, both in-person and by phone
  • Escort individuals to treatment areas and offer mobility support
  • Screen visitors and ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Support problem resolution and escalate concerns when needed
  • Participate in training and maintain a service-oriented attitude
