Description JOB TITLE: Recess Coach DEPARTMENT: Student Support REPORTS TO: School Resource Manager FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt QUALIFICATIONS · Born-again Christian and credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures. Active member of an evangelical Trinitarian church. · Accepts and supports the school’s statement of faith and indicates a continuing sense of God’s direction in working at Lighthouse Christian School. · Must be at least 18 years of age · Ability to work as part of a team · Positive and patient attitude · Clear and confident communication skills · Demonstrate an attitude of support and encouragement · Ability to perform job requirements (ie. standing for extended time) · 1-2 years of experience with school aged children, preferred but not required ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Supervise students during the assigned recess · Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective and calm course of action · Facilitates positive, productive interactions during recess including conflict-resolution · Ability to properly administer first aid if necessary · Maintain recess equipment · Reports discipline issues to administration in a timely and clear manner · Participate in meetings, devotions, professional learning community and Inservice as required · Maintain consistent, punctual attendance WORK REQUIREMENTS · Part time, non-exempt position based upon the school year calendar. · Hourly wage as outlined in the annual at-will employment letter.
