Company: MCA - Alpolic Job Description: The Reclaim/Scrap Operator assists Machine Operators by recycling material and scrap aluminum. Works with other teams as needed. Assist with maintaining clean work environment. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Keep work area clean. Adhere to safety and environmental rules. Draw ATH for disposal. Assist with cleaning of machines. Remove and sweep debris from the burner and machines. Lockout/Tagout Support supervisors and team in training and cross-training efforts Must be able to maintain Forklift license as issued by Mitsubishi. Other duties as assigned by department manager. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment to include safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and additional PPE as required. Correctable eyesight required. Must be comfortable working around moving equipment. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, forward reaching, and twisting. Occasional squatting, crouching, and above shoulder reaching. Ability to stand for extended periods. Dexterity manipulation is required for use of hand tools and light equipment. Must be able to push/pull material using pallet jack. Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs., occasional lifting up of 50 lbs Moderate exposure to temperature change in non-climate-controlled environment with potential of working near heated processes. Support supervisors and team in training and cross-training efforts Other duties as assigned by department supervisor or manager QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: One to two years of manufacturing experience Knowledge: Basic math skills and effective use of the metric system Skills: Fluent in spoken and written English required Legible handwriting for document completion Quality consciousness Organization Self-motivation Able to work alone or in a team setting Must be goal oriented with a focus on safety, process improvement, and team building Pay Transparency: The salary range for this position is $17 - $18 (Shift differential eligible) Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
