Role 5: Reconciliation Analyst Process: OTC Level: Associate Position: Role summary: The Reconciliation team is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end reconciliation process for our safeguarding entities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role focuses on managing complex exceptions, driving process improvements, and serving as a contact for cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities: Oversee the daily execution of safeguarding reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Lead the analysis and resolution of complex, aged, and high-value reconciliation breaks. Coordinate with Controllership, Treasury, and Engineering teams on exception analysis and resolution. Own and manage the creation, updating, and enhancement of process documentation, including runbooks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Lucid charts. Mentor and provide guidance to Reconciliation Analysts (Manager level), acting as a point of escalation. Report on reconciliation status, key metrics, and risks to senior leadership. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of client assets and company accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between internal records and external sources (exchanges, custodians, banks). Support month-end and quarter-end close activities related to reconciliation. Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, and Operations teams to ensure data integrity. Identify root causes of reconciliation breaks and implement preventive measures. Support internal and external audit requests related to safeguarding and reconciliation processes. Required qualifications: Analyst: 4+ years of experience in reconciliation processes, finance operations, or accounting, preferably in fintech or global environments. Strong understanding of reconciliation methodologies and controls. Proficiency in reconciliation software and accounting software. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Process improvement mindset and ability to identify automation opportunities. Preferred qualifications: Experience in cryptocurrency, digital assets, or financial services industry. Knowledge of blockchain technology and digital asset custody. Experience with safeguarding regulations and requirements. Understanding of treasury operations and cash management. Project management experience. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
