QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on experience in recording and mixing.
• Proficiency in Pro Tools or Logic (required).
• Strong knowledge of miking techniques for different instruments and recording setups.
• Familiarity with studio equipment, microphones, and session setup.
• Strong communication skills and ability to teach effectively.
• Proficiency in guitar or drums required (additional instruments are an asset).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Recording Engineer who can also teach music lessons. This role blends professional studio work with music education, providing the opportunity to both produce high-quality recordings and inspire students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and run recording sessions in our professionally soundproofed studio equipped with industry-standard gear.
• Record, edit, and mix projects using Pro Tools or Logic.
• Apply proper miking techniques for various recording needs (e.g., ORTF stereo, vocals, piano, drums, etc.).
• Perform mastering when needed (an asset but not required).
• Maintain studio equipment and ensure smooth technical operation.
• Teach at least one instrument (guitar or drums) to students of different ages and levels.
• Encourage students’ musical growth, creativity, and confidence.
