ABOUT US

Peaskie Minerals is a premier supplier of domestically sourced proppants and silica flour to the West Central Sedimentary Basin (WCSB). Our facility is located approximately 12 km north of Redwater or a 45-minute drive from north Edmonton.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION

  • Diploma or degree in Records and Information Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certification such as CRM (Certified Records Manager) or IGP (Information Governance Professional) is an asset.
  • Experience with Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS) such as SharePoint, OpenText, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of records retention schedules, privacy legislation, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for training and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain records management policies, procedures, and retention schedules.
  • Work with IT and other relevant departments to set up SharePoint site structure.
  • Classify, index, and catalog records according to established systems.
  • Oversee both physical and electronic document management systems.
  • Coordinate secure storage, retrieval, and disposition of records in accordance with retention schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, and industry standards related to records management (e.g., privacy laws, data protection requirements).
  • Collaborate with departments to train staff on proper records handling, storage, and security protocols.
  • Conduct audits to verify proper classification, storage, and destruction of records.
  • Manage access permissions and confidentiality controls for sensitive information.
  • Identify opportunities for improving records management processes, including the adoption of automation and digitization initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
