Description Description The Houston office of Hartline Barger LLP is seeking an energetic and reliable records clerk to join our busy litigation team. This role will also handle our receptionist desk. The ideal candidate must have excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to exercise sound judgment, think creatively and work independently. Responsibilities include: • Request medical, radiology and billing records. • Confirm receipt of records request by provider. • Follow up with records service for status of requests. • Provide a medical record chronology. • Work closely with records services to obtain documents in admissible format. • Review medical records and bills to confirm correct information is received. • Manage files and documents. • Work closely with assigned attorney and paralegal to ensure all processes are completed timely. • Calendar and track all requests for records and various other deadlines. • Upload/save all records received. • Develop and maintain records retrieval processes consistent with client guidelines. • Maintain consistent communication with attorney and paralegal. • Greeting clients and firm visitors • Answering all incoming calls for the firm, transferring to appropriate employees as needed We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D Insurance, 401(k) savings plan and generous paid time off.
