About the Role: The Record Management Information Technician II position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of files in government file rooms and other ongoing information service functions. The position is responsible for assisting government offices in developing and updating file plans, creating manuals, user guides, records management training, and implementing records management systems. This position is also responsible for pickup and delivery of files for usage, digitization, storage and/or destruction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Provide support and guidance on the organization, storage, retrieval, and destruction of federal government records. · Conduct Records Management training for federal government staff and other contractors. · Perform accurate and timely data entry into government Records Management systems, and serve as database coordinator. · Operate a government vehicle to transport records between designated locations, ensuring timely retrieval and delivery of requested files, as well as records scheduled for archiving or secure destruction. · Create and maintain Records Management manuals and user guides. · Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to the Project Manager. · Ensure quality customer service and reference support for federal staff and contractors. Requirements PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION: Citizenship and Background: Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a public trust clearance. Education: High school diploma Experience: Minimum 2 years in administrative support functions. Certification: Must be able to obtain a Certificate of Federal Records Management Training. Driving Record: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Required Skills and Abilities: · Demonstrated accurate data entry and reporting skills and exceptional organizational skills. · Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to function in high-pressure situations. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute. · Ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds overhead or onto moving equipment.
