Facilitating intake process for transferring patients including, but not limited to creating charts, sending record releases, reviewing records, contacting patients, and securing intake paperwork. Checking the fax inbox and assigning documents as appropriate. Assisting with intake processes for new site acquisitions. Facilitating process for outgoing record requests for all sites. Assisting Patient Services team with phones. Performing related duties as required. The importance of Patient Satisfaction! Collaborates with others to coordinate care, resolve concerns, and address the needs of patients, family members, providers and employees. Requirements Qualifications Experience in a pediatric medical practice preferred. Working knowledge of computer applications; prior experience with electronic medical records preferred. Ability to speak, read and write effectively. Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines, in a detail-oriented manner. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Indoor, temperature-controlled, smoke-free environment. May at times work under stressful situations. Handicapped accessible. Good visual acuity and ability to verbally communicate. Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 25 pounds. Responsibilities
As a Records Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining patient records and facilitating the intake process for new and transferring patients. You will also assist with outgoing record requests and support the Patient Services team.
