General Responsibilities: This position is responsible for intake of all correspondence, application, monies and insuring that all documents are accurately entered into the Bureau of Educators\ Certification database and imaging system on a daily basis. This position requires great attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as a team member. Required to have the ability to attain an acceptable rate of accurate production in high volume work environment. Must be self-motivated and be able to written and verbal instructions Specific Responsibilities: Employee must use quality control best practices to ensure accurate processing of information. Writes legibly and accurately so that information is readable and correct. Accurately enters certification fees into the database and provide batch and daily totals of monies received. Reviews all correspondence and determines classification for processing. Efficiently organizes the work for daily entry into the database and imaging system. Accurately scans hardcopy documents assuring clarity and quality of image. Reviews Bureau’s retention schedules to ensure retention scheduling process has been properly followed Verifies the quality and accuracy of all imaged documents, deletes substandard images, and re-scans as necessary. Indexes all documents into the database and imaging system in accordance with established policies and procedures. Compare data entered with source documents, verify accuracy of data to be entered to detect and correct errors. Meets with administrative and technical personnel to discuss problems involved in procedures and operations. Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of Florida State Board of Education Rules and procedures governing issuance of Florida Educator Certificates. LEAVE INFORMATION: o Annual Leave - All full-time Career Service employees filling established positions earn annual leave in varying increments dependent upon years of creditable service. Employees with up to 5 years of creditable service earn 8.667 hours per month, with 5 to 10 years earn 10.833 hours per month and those with over 10 years of service earn 13 hours per month. Employees in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions are credited with 176 hours of annual leave upon appointment.
