Position Summary: The Records Technician is responsible for capturing high-quality diagnostic records that are essential to the orthodontic treatment planning process. This includes digital X-rays, intraoral and extraoral photos, and 3D scans. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and enjoys working closely with both patients and the clinical team. Key Responsibilities: Greet patients and make them feel at ease prior to records appointments Capture diagnostic records including: Intraoral and extraoral photographs Panoramic and cephalometric X-rays 3D iTero or intraoral scans Ensure image quality and accuracy of all records Upload, organize, and label patient files in the practice management system (e.g., Dolphin, Cloud9) Maintain sterilization and cleanliness of records room and equipment Assist with initial exams and new patient onboarding when needed Support clinical staff in managing patient flow and scheduling follow-ups Comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and radiation safety protocols Perform equipment checks and report any maintenance issues Preferred Attributes: Passion for precision and technology Team-player mentality with a proactive attitude Friendly, approachable, and professional Willingness to learn and grow in a clinical setting What We Offer: Supportive, team-oriented environment On-the-job training and development Competitive compensation Health and dental benefits, with 401k match and PTO/Holiday program Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (required) Comfortable working with imaging and scanning technology Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to remain calm, positive, and patient-focused Computer proficiency and attention to digital detail
