Description

Toronto Cosmetic Clinic is seeking a compassionate and experienced Recovery Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in plastic or cosmetic surgery to join our dynamic surgical team. We are an accredited ambulatory private clinic focused on elective outpatient plastic and cosmetic surgical procedures. JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Monitor and assess patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) following general or local anesthesia
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the surgical team
  • Evaluate patients’ vital signs and level of consciousness post-surgery
  • Provide appropriate pain management and comfort care
  • Communicate clearly with surgical and nursing teams regarding patient status
  • Educate patients and their caregivers on post-operative care and discharge instructions
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Assist with pre-operative preparation as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient recovery room environment
  • Uphold infection prevention and control standards
  • Participate in quality assurance and safety initiatives within the clinic

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nursing (RN) license in Ontario
  • Current CPR and ACLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU, critical care, or surgical recovery preferred
  • Experience in cosmetic or plastic surgery is a strong asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
  • Computer proficiency, including experience with electronic medical records
  • Positive attitude and professional bedside manner
