Families in Transition is currently looking for a Recovery Support Worker to join our team!
The Recovery Support Worker will provide direct support, oversight, and interventions at the Families in Transition (FIT) transitional living program. Responsibilities include: Completing rounds and supervision, providing recovery based supports to participants, video camera observation, inspecting rooms/common areas, encouraging community building and maintaining program stay, providing consistent staff presence for families to access support, addressing conflict or concerns, awareness for building safety, light cleaning, and general kitchen duties.
Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses):
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Good conflict resolution and crisis management skills

Responsibilities:
- Oversight of building activities
- Ensure safety of participants and property by checking common areas, surrounding property, and each floor
- Communicate with incoming and outgoing staff of pending issues or activities that have occurred using the communication log.
- Interact with participants in a professional manner; respond to needs of participants as appropriate.
- Assist in conflict resolution between participants and oversight of compliance with program expectations.
- Direct outside agency/business communications, as well as volunteers, as appropriate
- Respond and manage crisis, which may include collaboration with emergency personnel.
- Janitorial and kitchen duties as assigned as well as oversight of participant cleaning responsibilities, exterior and interior.
- Maintaining building cleanliness at all times
- Kitchen assistance including but not limited to maintaining logs, serving and portioning food, stocking supplies, washing/sanitizing dishes, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
- Daily food and kitchen supply orders, as assigned.
- Order building supplies, as assigned.
- Assist in organization of program supplies.
- Other office duties and data entry, including Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and Electronic Health Record documentation, as assigned.
- Organization of participant monitors and resource boards
- Provide recovery supports to residents, as assigned.
- Video camera observation, as assigned.
